New Jersey Governor Chris Christie once had his high school catching job stolen

New Jersey Governor/Kevin James lookalike Chris Christie won the state's top position despite being a bit of an underdog — he was a relative newcomer to elected office and a Republican had not won a statewide election in 12 years when he was picked by voters in 2009.
But while he was a newcomer to executive politics and just swept in and took a job from hard-working career politicians (He doesn't even live in the governor's mansion. Who does this guy think he is?), Christie himself had his job taken by a newcomer back in his high school baseball days:
Three decades ago, Britt was the best catcher in Essex County. Before his senior year, he transferred from Newark Academy to his hometown school, Livingston High, to join the best team in the state. And in the process, he took the starting job from a senior captain. A kid named Chris Christie.
While the experience was certainly humbling, Christie — who like his doppelganger Doug Heffernan is also a Mets fan and also once wore his high school's mascot suit — used the disappointment as a learning experience, telling NJ.com that it taught him, "how to be a gracious winner and loser."

Just don't tell state Democrats he is a gracious winner.
